Evermore inspired by the Ancient Greek and the Old Masters, I aim to obtain the highest possible standards in all my work. Just like my mentor, Odd Nerdrum, I strive to walk backwards into the future, so that my face is illuminated by the knowledge, craft and traditions of the past.
An ardent lover of the classical

The Courtauld Institute of Art
In September 2022, I once again relocated to London and went back to university; to the prestigious Courtauld Institute of Art. After completing my Graduate Diploma (2022-2023), I enrolled at their postgraduate program the following year (2023-2024). Under the tutelage of Dr. Irene Brooke, Dr. Scott Nethersole, and Dr. Guido Rebecchini, I dived into Renaissance sculpture and painting. Despite leaving the safe waters of painting, trading my brushes and canvas for (not creative) writing, I graduated with a distinction. A major centre for the study of history of art and conservation, the college is well known for its many graduates holding director positions in some of the world's leading art institutions. Claimed to probably be "the most prestigious specialist college" in the world by the Independent, the Courtauld was in in 2026 appointed the world's top institution for the study of History of Art by the QS World University Ranking.
THE NERDRUM SCHOOL
I first met Odd Nerdrum in his Norway studio in August 2018 – a meeting that forever would change my perception of painting. Since the following October, I have lived and work in the Nerdrum Studio for longer and shorter periods of time, adding up to almost three years (2018-2022). Although similar in many ways, the studio was very different from my academic background in Florence. Undeniably, my meeting with Nerdrum has forever altered my way of thinking regarding painting. Daily diving into philosophy – in particular relating to paining – content, as well as the eternal human, this place offered more than simply watching the technical wonders performed of the greatest living master. After completing my Masters in the History of art, I became part of the Nerdrum Museum (Stavern, Norway) in 2025, assisting Nerdrum with the curatorial work, managing the collection and archive.
THE FLORENCE ACADEMY OF ART
Unsatisfied with the lack of technical knowledge and skills after completing my BA (Hons) in Fine Art in England, I came across the Florence Academy of Art and enrolled for their six weeks workshop in Florence, Italy. The following fall, I joined the full-time programme. At the end of my third year, I was awarded the prestigious 4th Year Prize, and remained for one final year teaching and working as an artist in residence. I then left Florence to continue my studies at The Nerdrum School – under the tutelage of Odd Nerdrum.
