Inspired by Olga Boznanska and Helene Scherfbeck, this painting was painted in Nerdrum’s studio and later on display at Statens 138. Høstutstilling (2025). Despite being called Blue Eyes, there is no blue pigment in the work, that is painted with the Apelles Pallets - a palette consisting of four colors only (white, yellow, red and black), inherited from antiquity.
